Lark – fitness, food + sleep tracker
My friend Ally turned me on to Lark which tracks your sleep, activity and meals in this crazy impressive texting system. It asks you what you ate – via a text inside the app. You tell it what you ate – by responding as if it’s your friend asking if you’re also watching Rehab Addict on HGTV. It responds with whether the meal is healthy, mixed or un. The system progresses the more you use it, and it’s a great way to track general health without getting insane about the specifics.
“One day I was out and I seen this guy with a tractor who attached these carts to pull rocks. I thought, ‘Dang, that would do for a dog train,'” said Bostick.
If this can’t brighten your day then you are a beyond hope. Also, every script I write from here on out will feature the name Eugene Bostick.
I need new coasters because we recently re-did our common room (no we don’t live in a dorm it’s just a one bedroom so the living/dining/office space is one) and my old coasters don’t match. I found these on Pinterest (when I went looking for them) and now I will pretend for at least a few weeks that I can make them look anything like this! Wish me luck. Also Sarah Johnson is a gem.
Goodbye cold pressed juice, hello POKE! This latest, greatest LA food craze has everything I love: sushi grade fish, McDonald’s grade prices, Chipotle-style service! Try Sweetfin in Santa Monica, Mainland in Weho or Ohana in DTLA or Silver Lake.
